I am deeply saddened about the passing of my long-time colleague and friend, Richard Valle. From his time in the US Army to his work as a county supervisor, Richard was a devoted public servant throughout his life. His passion for bettering our community was exemplary. Richard fought for everyone who needed county assistance and was a strong supporter of workers. I will truly miss his perspective and thoughtful deliberation when making challenging decisions as a member the Alameda County Board of Supervisors. I join with my colleagues in sending condolences to his family, his staff, and all of those whose lives Richard touched along his journey while on Earth. Rest in Power, my friend.
