Alameda County Voter Information Guide

Alameda County Voter Information Guide

My office has heard from some of you that you have received your vote-by-mail ballot, but have yet to receive your Official Alameda County Voter Information Guide, which provides official candidate statements, arguments in favor and against measures, and impartial analysis.

The Alameda County Registrar of Voters has confirmed that the Guides were delivered by our vendor to the United States Postal Service on time, and they are slowly making their way to voters. It is important to note that we are not the only county in California that is experiencing these delays. We are actively working with our federal representatives to engage the Postmaster General about this issue.

I know you are eager to vote and return your ballots well before Election Day; if you don’t want to wait to receive your paper copy of the Voter Guide in the mail, you can access a digital copy immediately through your online voter profile.  Here are the steps to access your Voter Guide:

  1. Log in to your Alameda County Voter Profile Page. You will need to provide your birthdate, Drivers License/State ID Number, and last 4 digits of your Social Security Number.
  2. Click on the ELECTION tab at the top of the page.
  3. Scroll to the middle of the page and select the CLICK HERE TO SEE YOUR VOTER INFORMATION GUIDE link.
  4. Click on the blue button on the right that says ACCESS MY VOTER GUIDE.
  5. You can now select tabs to read candidate statements and measure information. There is also a tab for a reference ballot – THIS IS NOT AN ACTUAL BALLOT. It is to be used for personal reference only.

I apologize for any inconvenience this delay has caused, but I thank you for being diligent and appreciate your excitement to cast your vote and exercise your power!

Please do not hesitate to reach out to my office if you are in need of further assistance.
