How do I learn more about the elections on my ballot?

The League of Women Voters, a nonpartisan organization, has compiled information and resources about the election, including the Mayor and District 2 candidates and Measure A.

You can also view the official County of Alameda Voter Information Guide, which includes self-submitted candidate and measure information, here.

How and when do I vote?

Election Day is Tuesday, April 15. All registered voters have received a ballot in the mail. There are three ways to vote:

1) Place your ballot in the mail. Postage is not required. Your ballot must be postmarked by 8 PM on April 15.

2) Drop your completed ballot in a 24-hour secure ballot dropbox any time before 8 PM on April 15. You can find a map of dropboxes here.

3) Vote in person at a vote center. You can find a list of vote centers, including their hours, here, and a map of vote centers here. Vote centers will be open between 7 AM and 8 PM on April 15 and between 9 AM and 5 PM beforehand.

What if I’m not registered to vote?

Don’t worry, you can still vote! You can register to vote up to election day at a vote center and cast a provisional ballot, which will be counted upon confirmation of your registration.

You can find more information and resources at the official election site of Alameda County, acvote.org.
